Earlham spoils Franklin's home opener
FRANKLIN, Ind. (Nov. 18) - Visiting in-state foe Earlham College edged into the lead with six minutes left and never relinquished its advantage in an 83-78 men's basketball decision in the Spurlock Center gym tonight.

Grizzlies' season opener at Trine postponed to Dec. 7
FRANKLIN, Ind. (Nov. 16 UPDATE) – Tonight’s Franklin College season-opening men’s basketball game at Trine University has been postponed due to the death of Rick Starrett, father of Grizzlies sophomore guard Clay Starrett (Salem, Ind./Eastern-Pekin H.S.), who was tragically killed in a work-related accident on Sunday.

Marshall, Yochum, Redman earn FC's top team awards
FRANKLIN, Ind. (April 9) - Senior Dustin Marshall (Lexington, Ind./Scottsburg H.S.) was named the team’s Most Valuable Player and was the recipient of the Goaltenders Club's "Clutch Award" for the 2008-09 basketball season during the 38th annual Franklin College Goaltenders Awards Banquet tonight.

Grizzlies finish 1st in NCAA Division III in field goal shooting
FRANKLIN, Ind. (March 25) – Franklin College was No. 1 in team overall field goal percentage among NCAA Division III men’s basketball teams this year. The 2008-09 NCAA D-III season concluded with the championship finals this past weekend.

Conoley HCAC's Freshman of the Year; Marshall and Redman also on All-HCAC First Team
FRANKLIN, Ind. (March 3) – Franklin College center Will Conoley (Franklin, Ind./H.S.) was named the Freshman of the Year and teammates Dustin Marshall (Lexington, Ind./Scottsburg H.S.) and Jace Redman (Mount Vernon, Ind./H.S.) joined him on the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team for the 2008-09 men's basketball season, the league announced today.
